BODY OF EVIDENCE

Describe your character physically. Madelyne is in her mid to late thirties but there is something about her that does not seem as thought she's actually lived through all of those years. There is a lack of scars and wrinkles. It is a little disconcerting to those who might notice those sorts of details. She's 5' 10" and has deep red hair that looks orange in the correct lighting. Her eyes are a deep green that you rarely get in people, barely touched by browns, greys or yellows.

What does your character wear? Madelyne tends to wear bulky tops and long flowing skirts with boots beneath. It isn't quite a bohemian style but she tends to dress for comfort but distinctly feminine.

That covers what they look like. What do they sound like? Voice and diction goes here. Do they speak softly? Do they have a voice raspy with cigarettes? What's their vocabulary like?

Running down the list of the five senses.... smell? Madelyne doesn't wear perfume, most of the time, but her shampoo and soap smells of light florals.

Touch & Taste. Uh, okay there. As she's a clone of a mutant, I'm sure she probably tastes a little different than your average person. I'm open to what, exactly, that is and what effects (if any) that might have.

The fine, fine details: She's a clone. You'd have to get a /very/ detailed medical examination to pick that up but there are other signs and visible tags, as mentioned previously above.

PB differences? Nope!

BENEATH LE SURFACE

A history of me: Check this out. Reading the "Fictional character biography" section you can go through to the section labelled "Return?". She hasn't yet been revealed to be a psychic construct and might not ever be since that is complicated.

Who matters? The most important person in her life is her son, Nathan Christopher Charles Summers. There isn't much at all that she would not do for her son if the situation is presented. She did not get a lot of time with him before he was kidnapped by Mr. Sinister, she went insane and then killed herself by trying to kill Jean Grey. She would kill Mr. Sinister (or attempt to do so) if she saw him. Her ex-husband Scott Summers is very important to her as she still loves him. It is a complicated situation as her memories of him are not as accurate as she'd like them to be - or at least that was her impression when he was here. Then again, as her mental state deteriorated, her knowledge and memory became more fractured. It is hard to say how she would react to Jean Grey but it likely would not be positively.

Personality & Psychology: Madelyne is flawed in that she's done bad things and had bad things done to her. She's working on getting over them and trying to figure out who she is and who she wants to be in the mean time. Generally, she's a pleasant woman who wants to make those around her happy. If you manage to piss her off, though, she has a fierce temper and is likely to take it too far if she feels action is indicated.

Skills, Powers, Weaknesses, and et cetera: Madelyne is a telepath and a telekinetic. She constantly hears the murmuring of the Extra's in her mind and the thoughts of those who aren't Extras tend to stand out if she focuses on them. She can lift a significant amount of weight (more than a car, probably less than a building). Often, she creates physical shields to deflect attacks and she can fly. Due to past torture and torment, she does not have a lot of the mental flexibility to handle shocks that others have. She's terrified of being restrained and frequently has nightmares of sterile lab environments.

Sexytiems: Madelyne is pretty much an exclusively heterosexual woman. She is not really into casual encounters but there is a situation for everything. If you're interested, reach out OOCly and we'll talk it through.

Best way to meet this character: Madelyne is a defender. She has a hard time standing back and allowing bad things happen to others - especially children. She has an airplane and gives tours of the city. She is a sucker for strong willed, charismatic leader types.

PERMISSIONS

This section is to establish a baseline of both OOC permission and IC conditionals for various things that might happen in game. As always, just telling someone to 'talk to you OOC' on any borderline cases is a perfectly valid answer.

THE MIND: Can your character's mind or emotions be read by characters with the ability to do that? Do they have any sort of resistance to this? Is it okay with you OOCly? How will you designate 'thoughts' in narration? What is their mind like? - Madelyne has telepathic shields. There is not a lot of leakage from behind them but she projects her thoughts to others from time to time casually. If you're not sure for any reason, feel free to reach out and ask.

THE BODY: Is it okay for your character to come to physical harm? What sorts of invulnerabilities or resistances, if any, do they have to bodily injury? Is there anything you're specifically cool or not cool with? Are their possessions and homes available for damage, or not? - Madelyne can come to harm. She has a significant amount of power and varying levels of skill with that power. This doesn't mean that she isn't capable of being harmed and I as a player am usually inclined toward character harm instead of away from it as it makes for more challenging and interesting situations.

FUNKY STUFF: Is it okay for characters who are psychic or just 'know' things about your character to get information from your background/wiki/etc and reference those things in threads? Is it okay if people can 'sense' things about your character, such as auras or true species? - Sure!

PRIVACY: Are you okay with characters threadhopping into your threads and posts, and/or threadjacking? Are you okay with characters reading your character's unlocked posts? Their locked posts? Will your character ever hide their presence on the tablet map? - Threadhopping and threadjacking are just fine. Reading text posts is fine. Locked post I will make clear if they should be hidden from others as well. I can't think of a reason Madelyne would hide herself on the map but she might if there were a good enough of a reason todo so.

SURPRISE!: Are you okay with your character being snuck up on, or do they have skills or powers that would make this unlikely? - Sure, though sneaking up on Madelyne is challenging as she is a telepath. There are ways of doing it, certainly, but it is challenging.

General

Character Name: Madelyne Pryor
Species (human/alien/vampire/other?): Mutant, clone and, well, mostly proud.
Extra-human/abnormal abilities, if any?: Telepath and telekinetic.

Psychology

1. Is it okay for your character's thoughts to be read/their mind to be probed? Yes, though, as she is a telepath, she has even odds of noticing it happening.

2. Is it okay for any of your character’s intense/distressing memories to be seen/heard/read in this situation? Totally. She's got a whole catalog of stuff to choose from.

3. What kind of mind does your character have? Are they disturbed at all? Are their thoughts ordered or jumbled? Madelyne's mind is a deep body of water with undertow. Things look calm from the surface but man does it get dangerous and nasty once you're in it.

4. Is it okay for your character’s emotions to be sensed? Yes. She's prone to being emotional.

5. Does your character have a weak or strong mind? Are they susceptible to influence or hypnotism? She is strong of mind and can be influenced but it would need to be done carefully or socially.

6. Does your character have supernatural/mental fortification against mind-reading or telepathic communication? She's built up her defenses but she hasn't had a teacher, exactly, and telepathy is the weaker of her skills. A strong telepath could break or sneak through.

7. In the case of characters who are extra-sentient/psychic and can just 'know' things about people, can the muns of these characters use the powers of Wikipedia to get information about your character? Sure.

8. If so, is there anything that should absolutely never ever be brought up? I can't think of anything right now but I've cut of her history after the restoration of her memories and before her being a 'psychic construct'. The Red Queen stuff hasn't happened, or if it did, it wasn't her.

9. Anything that should absolutely be brought up? Not that I can think of but there is plenty to choose from that will get a reaction.

10. Will thoughts in the narration be up for grabs? If so, how will you indicate these? Italics/strikes/something else? Italics.

11. Does your character have any fears/phobias that you wouldn't mind being exploited? Ones that you'd like to NOT be exploited? Maddy has abandonment issues something fierce.

Physiology

1. Is it okay for your character to be affected by chemical agents? Fear toxins, for example? Yes.

2. Does your character have any unique biological difference that would affect their resistance to toxins/chemical substances? She's a clone and a mutant so it is possible that there would be different reactions but nothing that would help her resist.

3. Does your character have any notable genetic/supernatural/biological difference that would make their blood in any way different to a regular baseline human's (that would make them taste different if they were fed on by a vampire, for example)? Again, see clone, but she's still a normal mutant.

Physical

1. How okay are you with your character coming to physical harm? Just fine.

2. How okay are you with your character's home/possessions being targeted by bad guys? Bring it on.

3. Can your character be impacted by telekinesis? Yes but they should expect a fight on that.

4. With regard to vampires, would your character be willing to be a donor? Potentially. Depends on the situation.

5. If no, then how about unwilling? Let me know OOCly first but sure.

6. With regard to shapeshifters, are you okay with having those with this power taking the shape of your character? Sure. It would be interesting to have another someone else who looks like her.

7. If your character has any superhuman abilities, would you be okay with these being replicated by those who have the power to absorb/take on the powers of others? Totally.

8. In a physical confrontation, is it okay if characters who have the power to sense/foresee/predict movements use this to their advantage against your character? Sure.

9. Are you willing to participate in plots where your character will sustain damage outside of a fight, such as in situations with torture, environmental hazards, or accidents? I am fine with that but in situations of torture I'd like an OOC conversation about it since character reactions will differ depending on what happens.

10. Is there anything about them that would stand out noticeably (things like scars, physical augmentations, illness, anomalies, etc.) if they were ever injured or otherwise examined by a doctor? Are any of these things noticeable to others without close inspection? Maddy is a clone. Intense medical inspection could reveal that. The other thing is that she /doesn't/ have any scars or any of the little nicks and dings most people get growing up. No awkward adolescent broken bones, no chipped teeth or anything like that. She's weirdly untouched.

Magics

1. Can your character be influenced and tempted by magical or supernatural means? Sure.

2. If yes, will someone with the ability be able to find this out about them, and in what areas (think the seven deadly sins) can your character be tempted? In terms of 7 Deadly Sins, Maddy is easily temped with wrath and lust, though avarice would also be on the list when it comes to the right things. She has a strong need to be loved and is paranoid about it being taken from her.

3. Could your character be glamoured (a form of mind control employed by vampires to make humans compliant/alter their memories etc.)? Yes, but she's a telepath so she has defenses against that sort of thing. It would take some strength or real subtlety.

4. Can your character be effected by spells of any kind, and are there any specific types to which they would be immune? Sure. Anything that would be memory or thought altering would likely require a conversation but I'm open to the possibility.

5. Can your character's presence be sensed by characters with the power to read auras/pick up generalized vibes from people? Yes.

6. If yes, what kind of stand-out things about your character can be sensed? She's usually a strongly emotional person and is very strong willed.

7. With regard to characters that can sense danger/receive visions/predict general doom, are you okay with your character being the subject of any of this, if the occasion arises? Sure.

Privacy

1. Will your character change their name as it is shown on the map? If so, what will they change it to? Probably not.

2. If they’re able, will they ever opt to hide their location on the map? Only if she's specifically trying not to be found.

3. If your character is from an earlier point in their canon than another member of your cast, what is and is not okay for your fellow castmate to spill the beans about regarding your character’s future? I'm fine with any revelations. There aren't many of them out there, I don't think, but go ahead!

4. With regard to characters that like to snoop, can they find anything that's been publicly said by your character through the tablets? Sure.

5. How about privately? I'm open to the possibility if it comes up. Hard for me to answer entirely before I've gotten started.

6. Is there anything you'd especially like to be known about your character, for the purposes of amusement? You probably don't want to call her Jean, not that most people would have any reason to do so.

7. Anything you especially don't? Can't think of anything.

8 Do you like threadhopping (a character not already in a thread jumping in unexpectedly to reply to a comment), and are you okay with other people threadhopping in your threads and posts? I am usually okay with it but if there is a one on one interaction happening, I'd appreciate a heads up first.
